Zalando Global Campaigns: Redesign of the legacy campaign workflow.
Role
Senior Visual & User Interface Designer
Year
2015
Tools
Sketch, Photoshop
Challenge
Zalando’s legacy campaign workflow was heavily fragmented. Localizing content, visuals, and copy across dozens of markets and multiple platforms required a manual, high-touch process. This fragmented approach was not only cost-prohibitive and slow but also created significant risk for human error and brand inconsistency.
Deliverables
- • Cross-platform native app design
- • Photoshop Templates
Prior to this redesign all content needed to be localized manually making the task very slow, expensive and human-error prone.
Results
To solve for global scale, I designed a modular design system that enabled a 'create once, deploy everywhere' workflow. By transitioning to a centralized asset delivery model, we empowered the team to push multiple international campaigns across all device breakpoints simultaneously on a regular cadence. This systemic approach significantly reduced design debt and manual overhead, streamlining the production pipeline and ensuring perfect brand parity across markets. Beyond operational savings, the improved visual consistency and faster time-to-market directly impacted the bottom line, resulting in a 30% lift in conversion rates.
